Meg Denewellis - Hygienist

I have been a registered dental hygienist since 2001. My experience here began long before becoming the hygienist. I am a life-long Joliet resident, and have been a patient in this office, since I was 3 years old. I started working here in 1992 as a dental assistant. My passion for the dental world inspired me to further my education. With the encouragement and guidance of great mentors, I graduated from the hygiene program at Prairie State College in 2001. I have been working full-time here as the hygienist ever since.

As the hygienist, I strive to provide all of our patients with the highest quality of care, even if that means, “I’m a little picky.” I take great pride in what I do! My favorite part of this job is making connections with the patients. I truly enjoy getting to know them, their families and their stories. I have built many relationships which have turned into meaningful friendships over the years.

I have one adult son, Ryan. He is my pride and joy, and absolutely the best part of my life! I have enjoyed every stage of his developmental and growing years. He is full of life and always manages to have a good time. I am so proud of the man he has become. I can’t say it enough! When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles and watching Netflix. But mostly, if I’m just hanging out with one of my three favorite guys, either my son, my long-time boyfriend, or my doggy…I’m happy!

The person in my life I admire most is my dad. He lost a long, courageous battle with cancer in 2006. He was determined, strong minded and a real fighter. He overcame so many obstacles. His fight for life has taught me so many things. He was an inspiration to me. He is my hero.
